The world ......1...... has been growing ......... ...2..... ........ . In 10000 BC, the world was ......3.......  only about 10 million. In the first year AD, there were 300 million people. It took 1,750 years for the world population to reach 625 ...4..... people. In 1850,  just a ....5....  years later, the world's population ....6.....  the figure of 1 billion 300 million. In 1950, that number doubled to 2 ....7..... 510 million. In 1985, only 35 years later, the world has 4 billion 760 million people. In 2000, the world population was about 6.6 billion and by 2015 it is ....8....  to be over 7 billion.

Does the Earth have enough ....9...... to serve this many people? Many scientists have ...10.....  different answers to this question. Some say the earth have enough resources to ...11...... 8 billion people, others say we must ....12........  population growth because of limited resources. Only 10 per cent of the world's land can be used for farming and another 20 per cent for .....13...... . The water we use is limited. ...14...... , iron, silver, gold and other .....15..... are limited as well.
